Collaborations and voices

What impact can Reggio Emilia Institute's commissioned training programs have on an organization? Here we have gathered some feedback from our partners. We also present the municipalities we have collaborated with in recent years.

For many years, the education administration in Haninge Municipality has developed a collaboration and partnership with the Reggio Emilia Institute. This collaboration has consisted of training in educational documentation and project-based working methods, dialogue and process support in operational development, and individual guidance. The collaboration has resulted in the municipal preschools in Haninge jointly developing and formulating common values and positions, a common operational concept. This has created a clear direction throughout the organization. This, in turn, has led to children and guardians experiencing high-quality educational activities and an equitable preschool that puts the child's right to a good education first.

Henrik Lindh, Director of Education, Haninge Municipality

As principal of three Reggio Emilia-inspired preschools, teacher training, the Workshop lera (Maria Kozlowska) and lectures on projects and educational documentation (Anna Söderström Ahrborn) have been valuable. All work teams have also been inspired by Reggio Emilia in practice. The preschools' project work has been deepened, the children's learning processes have become clearer, and creativity has increased. Professional development becomes meaningful and allows educators to clearly see the common thread in the education.

What we have learned during the training courses has helped us to deepen our work with the children. We have been inspired for a long time after the training itself, and the impressions have been lasting. The content has always felt tailored to our specific needs, and we have also been active in the implementation itself. Those who conduct the training courses have always done so in a very professional and committed manner. One concrete example is a workshop day with Karin Furness on nature studies and clay workshops, where our homes and the square work with clay workshops where children can explore, create, and marvel at nature.
