Light – Children's thoughts, images, and explorations

These two publications from Reggio Emilia, "We are the light" and "The light's babies," provide an introduction to how the Diana preschool in Reggio Emilia worked on a project about light. The first half of the writings begins with a theoretical and general text about light from a cultural and scientific perspective, and then addresses questions that were asked to the children about light. The second half discusses how different materials related to this light project were used. You also get an insight into how the Diana preschool is structured through a floor plan where we can follow how the children describe and investigate different types of light in the departments.
"The light's babies" focuses on two- and three-year-olds, while the second, "We are the light," focuses on three- to five-year-olds. The texts are in English and both are included in this package deal.
